Compatible abutment replacement screws
Replacement screws for implantology are replicas of the original screws of the major implant manufacturers. They are therefore fully compatible.
All Microimp compatible screws are made of medical grade 5 titanium. They respect the original screws in their shape and pitch. Their driver engagement, depending on the implant manufacturer, can be of different types, such as Hexagonal (1.20-1.25-1.30), Torx (usually used by Straumann®) or Unigrip
(mostly used by Nobel Biocare®).
Each compatible replacement screw is individually tested and guidance on the tightening force to be applied can be found in the catalogue. Microimp recommends that the prosthetic screw, which will be delivered together with the prosthesis, should not be used during the working stages, so as not to alter the mechanical properties that a new screw possesses.
