Thommen® Implants

Thommen® Medical®, a Swiss company based in Grenchen, is an independent family business and opened its new Swiss production facility in 2001.

As early as 1975, Dr Robert Mathys, together with other colleagues, started this type of implant, which has been marketed since 1986, later introducing cylindrical implants to the market.

He now produces two implant lines with the same connection in different diameters 3.5 - 4.0 - 4.5- 5.0 and 6.0. The characteristic feature of its connection is the stabilising ring that provides mechanical stability to reduce micromovements.
